See what I've been doing: My Portfolio

About Me December 5, 2011

This is what my mom calls my “million dollar smile.” Six years of braces sure did cost ’em a lot!

I am a current graduate of the University of Arkansas and graduated in December, 2011.
I earned a B.A. degree in journalism, specializing public relations and advertising and concentrating in marketing. I minored in French and hope to travel to Paris one day.

I have been a member of the University of Arkansas Swim Team for the past four years and completed my eligibility as a Razorback in February, 2011. Along with representing the Razorbacks, I also swam for the Philippines since 2005, where I had the opportunity to travel to international competitions in Italy, Australia, Qatar, Thailand, the Philippines, China and Laos. I currently hold six national records for the Philippines as well. I am blessed to have had the opportunity of being a student-athlete, an experience that taught me the meaning of teamwork, pride and dedication.

I am currently working with a sports marketing company called Octagon in their global events division. We are organizing a Star Wars-themed event called the Course of the Force this July. Luckily I am a Star Wars nerd! I previously interned with University Relations at the University of Arkansas, the UA athletic department and Jacksonville Magazine in Florida.  I have had several articles published on the UA website and in Jacksonville Magazine. Having dabbled in sports, journalism, marketing and event planning, I hope to obtain a PR job someday in my hometown, Miami. After all, you can take the girl out of the city, but you can’t take the city out of the girl.

I have a deep passion for traveling, cooking, journaling and meeting new people. I LOVE dogs…especially my crazy little chug (chihuahua-pug), Kenobi (told you I love Star Wars). My lifelong goal is to write a book about my life travels and experiences.

  1. Hi Erica–I love your bliss cupcake advertisement. I would like to use it on an article for how to write about visual images at HubPages. It is listed in Google Images as available, but I always like to check to see that this is all right. It will include a link to the original page so people can read how you came up with the idea.

Thank you, I still love the advertisement myself as I am a big Audrey fan. Feel free to use the image on your site. I appreciate you linking it back to my original page.
