For the Parent’s section of Jacksonville Magazine’s August issue, I researched new USDA food guidelines for children and interviewed individuals from the Duval County Public Schools about lunches served at elementary schools and what parents can expect. I also talked to children dieticians who work with obese children as young as three years old about keeping children healthy. Click the link to view the article.
One of the best things about Jacksonville are its pristine beaches. To see what beachside events to attend this year, read my article all about Jacksonville beaches. Click the link to view the article.
The interns were assigned a story on make-up tips for brides for the Bride’s issue of Jacksonville Magazine. The story focuses on different face shapes and gives hair and make up suggestions for that face shape. A fellow intern and I got lucky and were chosen to participate in the make over and photoshoot (along with writing the story). We spent the day getting our hair and make up done and took notes during the process. It was a lot of fun to be behind the camera as the subject of the article, although it was slightly embarrassing to have a huge photo of my face posted in the Bride Issue.
