Octagon Global Events, Rogers, AR: Operations Assistant, March 2012- current position

Focused on logistics and operations for the Course of the Force event in Southern California (July 2012). Tasks included researching and booking hotel and van reservations, creating sales decks for potential sponsors and outlining mapping and route details for the event.

University Relations- University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR: Intern, spring 2012

Assisted the Senior Director of Academic Communications by writing press releases, newswire articles, and features for university publications to increase exposure of the University of Arkansas at the local and national level. Also assisted communication directors with promotional and communications-related activities.

University of Arkansas Athletic Department, Fayetteville, AR: Public Relations Intern, fall 2011

Served as an assistant to the Associate Athletic Director by observing athletic media relations events, editing media guides and other gameday content. Wrote press releases to promote athletic events.

Jacksonville Magazine, Jacksonville, FL: Editorial Intern, summer 2011

Conducted several interviews and did extensive research covering newsworthy topics and events in the Northeast Florida community.  Other tasks included attending press conferences, assisting photo shoots as well as editing and fact checking articles before deadline.
